Preetham Tiwari

Preetham Tiwari grew up in the small hill town of Ooty, surrounded by misty landscapes and, more importantly, stories. His father, Kishan Tiwari, was his first window into the world of cinema, nurturing his love for gaming, storybooks, and movies. Preetham still remembers the magic of walking into a theater holding his father's hand.

As he grew older, Preetham realized that his deepest passion lay in telling stories, ones that linger, question, and provoke. That realization set him on the path to becoming a director, eager to explore themes such as the nature of reality, the shadows of the human mind, and the quiet power of suspense.

To equip himself with the tools of modern filmmaking, Preetham completed a Post Graduate Diploma in VFX from ICAT College. This technical foundation empowered him to not only direct but also write, edit, and handle visual effects for his own projects. Today, every short film he makes is edited by him, with VFX and sometimes even camera work handled personally.

His short films span multiple genres, including horror, thriller, suspense, drama, psychological horror, and human values, each one an attempt to push boundaries on a modest budget.

Preetham's latest short, PARADOX, was a collaboration with industry experts in acting, cinematography, and music. The result was global recognition: 26 awards, recognitions, nominations, and honorable mentions across 17 countries, proving that powerful storytelling transcends language and budget.

Beyond PARADOX, Preetham Tiwari has also worked on a full length feature film script designed for Hollywood, and he had the privilege of having it reviewed by Oscar winning Hollywood producer Steve Longi. What began as a deeply personal creative endeavor took nearly five months of intense writing, refining, and structuring. Over the next eight months, Preetham collaborated closely with Steve, whose expert guidance helped reshape the script to meet international standards. His mentorship was invaluable, ensuring that the story not only retained its originality but also aligned with the expectations of a global audience.

Steve Longi is a veteran Hollywood producer with over two decades of experience. He was instrumental in developing the Academy Award winning film Hacksaw Ridge, which earned six Oscar nominations and two wins under director Mel Gibson. Over his career, Steve has worked on numerous acclaimed projects and collaborated with some of Hollywood's most respected actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Sigourney Weaver, Rooney Mara, Whoopi Goldberg, Kat Dennings, Zach Galifianakis, Rebel Wilson, Anton Yelchin, and Ray Liotta. His long history of producing prestigious and diverse projects has given him a unique perspective on storytelling and the craft of filmmaking, insights that have been deeply inspirational in shaping Preetham's own journey.

Preetham Tiwari considers it an absolute honor to have worked with Steve Longi and has learned immeasurably from his deep well of experience. This learning was further amplified when Preetham took on the role of editing a video series posted by Steve, gaining a first hand, behind the scenes look at his insightful perspectives on the film industry and the craft of independent filmmaking.

Today, Preetham's script stands in a production ready state. It is designed as a moderate budget suspense, thriller, and horror film, carefully crafted to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. With its gripping tension, atmospheric storytelling, and psychological depth, the project balances artistic integrity with commercial appeal, comparable to recent hits like Obsession and Undertone.

Further work is already underway to bring this script to life, with ongoing discussions, creative refinements, and the search for the right partners to transform the vision into a feature film. Preetham looks forward to collaborating with people who are passionate about the art and its craft.
